Industry Awards

Three honors recognizing the writing, the leadership and the long service that keep local newspapers strong.

Local newspapers do work that no one else does — and the people behind that work rarely stop to take credit for it. These awards do it for them. Together they recognize commentary that moves a community to act, executives whose vision has shaped the business, and long service that has strengthened the industry and the communities it covers. Each carries the name of someone who built something that outlasted them, and each is presented to people doing the same.

Every award here came from an association that chose to keep going. Inland, SNPA and America's Newspapers each built programs worth continuing, and these honors are part of what carried forward. Entry and nomination details are on each award page.
